Our client is an accredited testing laboratory for chemical analysis and materials testing – part of an international laboratory group and an established service provider in its segment. The laboratory stands for reliability, precision, and genuine team spirit; the people who work here are committed to high-quality analytics with care and responsibility – objective, competent, and down-to-earth. On their behalf, PRCSS is looking for a leader with a strong hands-on character who leads directly, approachably, and with genuine presence, as Head of Operations (m/f/d) – responsible for the entire operation with around 30 employees as well as its technical, organizational, and strategic development.
Your Responsibilities
• Leadership & Development: You take on the organizational and disciplinary management of the operation with around 30 employees, lead directly and close to day-to-day business, and win your teams over to shared goals
• Change Management & Process Optimization: You guide change processes from planning through implementation, identify cost-saving and efficiency potential, and carry out restructuring measures
• Quality: You ensure compliance with quality standards (ISO 17025) and drive their continuous development
• Clients & Representation: You maintain strong, lasting relationships with clients, partners, and authorities, and represent the operation with a calm, competent presence
• Culture: You foster a culture of trust, personal responsibility, and technical excellence, as well as a modern mindset that is open to change
• Collaboration with the Laboratory Group: You hold P&L responsibility for the site, report regularly to the parent laboratory group, and actively contribute to its strategic development
Your Profile
• Completed degree in chemistry with a focus on inorganic chemistry – a vocational apprenticeship/training prior to your studies is a plus
• Several years of proven leadership experience in an operational environment – laboratory, materials testing, or metallurgical/raw materials industry
• Hands-on leadership style: direct, approachable, and with genuine presence in day-to-day operations
• Several years of experience in change management – you guide change processes from planning to successful implementation and win people over to shared goals
